Hi there,
yet another question: I only can get my hands on Hauppauge's USB PVR2 Model 960, will that work with sage aswell?

I don't know what a 960 is. It isn't listed on Hauppauge's chart of products either.
http://www.hauppauge.com/html/chart.htm As you can see they list 2 different USB products that have hardware encoding. The 881 and the 941. Do you have a web page or something that describes the 960? I'm thinking that model # is for Europe......you just need to figure out what the equivilent US model # is for comparison.

Never mind about the website, I found one. It looks exactly like the US 941 and the specc listed were the same and listed hardware MPEG2 encoding as a feature.
I guess they just changed the model number to 960 because it supports PAL instead of NTSC? It is probably the same, but Jeff would need to confirm whether or not that model #/name of card would have to be added to the software database for SageTV to recognize it.
