Yeah, as much as I like the Myhd 130 card, it's nowhere close to the near-automated recording I get from Sagetv. Clicking on Titantv to record is basically the computer version of punching in gemstar vcr+ codes.

And I also think pausing live tv is a bit over-hyped, I hardly ever use the pause live tv feature on the Myhd 130... rarely use it in Sagetv too.

That's assuming it actually works (which it doesn't well for QAM recordings).

As always, there's more than one angle to this. Being a former TiVo owner, I can say pausing Live TV was the most important feature, a feature that actually changed our lives.

With the advent of the PVR in our house, some two years ago, and with four tuners in all and plenty hard drive space - well, nobody watches Live TV any more, but that's a different story.
And there's still stuff that a lot of people prefer to watch live.
