Try checking for the ui/background_image property in SageClient.properties. It may be blank, set to a file that doesn't exist, or has an incorrect path to a background image.

You can just remove the property if you want. (While SageTV isn't running.)

Edit: Or, you can simply change the background image in Detailed Setup -> Customize; scroll all the way down.

Thanks I had put the stv in a folder of its own but the ui/background_image property in SageClient.properties still pointed to the main v3 stv folder. To fix it all I did was move your stv into the main stv folder.

Does the latest Malore STV need to be rebuilt for sagetv 3.0.13? It looks like there are some sigificant changes in the default SageTV STV 3.0.13.

Yes, the .stv file has to be rebuilt everytime SageTV comes out will a new version to get the latest features. Which I've done and can be downloaded from the first post.

Updated October 17:
· Rebuilt using the V3.13RC2 default STV file.
· Reorganized the main menu to my liking.
· Made an import file that can be used instead of the .stv file.

The import adds comskip support to the media player, background commercial detection, text free diskspace indicator, and .smi file closed captioning support.

The full .stv file does that and moves my verions of the Recording Schedule, custom menus, and the conflict resolution onto the main menu. Plus I disable wrap around scrolling from my menus.

Wow, did you fix the changes in the comskip playbar bars, versus the updated
code for padding on the media bar?

I know Nielm's add-in has to be recoded a little... Just thought I would ask before trying it and being disappointed (I NEED comskip playback to work.. )

What ever happened to the Video Playlist? I used to have a button mapped to "add to playlist" and a "Video Playlist" menu. Is that still there? I can't find the "add to playlist" command for my remote.

mkanet and JasonJoel, you're welcome.

Deadbolt, I don't know the answer to your question, so you could try asking it in the v3.013rc2 thread. The latest release has moved a lot of functions to a popup menu when you select a show, video, etc.

Settings for special menus

What file do I back up to save the settings for these special menus once I have them the way I want?

Malore, Anyway to get earlier versions of the STV ? I want to go back to version 3.0.11 and seem to have "misplaced" the STV.

Hi Malore, I don't know if this has been requested before, but can I convince you to add DATE and STAR RATING filters? Please?

For example (no movies older than 1995, no movies with less than 2 star rating)

I have a PVR-350. When a file naturally closes in V3.0.14 it ends early..and I never get the EOF bug. However, when any of the STVs that enable comskip support...and the comskip file has a commercial after the last part of the show to the end of the file I get the bug. I think the comskip FFWD is jumping over the point where Sage would close the file early and going right to the end. My machine comes to a grinding halt....i can recover after about 5 min of painfully slow commands but is hurts bad. Any way to tell the STV to only jump to a certain point? Example...with the latest RC, it closes 250 ms early. Could we have comskip jump to a latest time of 300 ms early so that the show will be closed by Sage? Just an idea. Thanks~! Edit/Delete Message

While feasible, it would be time consuming to implement. You can group by year and sort by star rating to approximate what you what.

That shouldn't be too hard to do. I'll try to add it the next time I make an update.
