As much as I like joking around too, I decided to unhitch the rest of this discussion from the original post, so whenever there is more _real_ info, it will be easier to find in the Beta Progress Report thread.

Awwww, c'mon.... I want to see just how far off topic this thread gets. The tangents so far have been pretty enjoyable.

Seriously though, good idea.

Geeks rule, jocks drool!!!

One of my most memorable childhood TV moments came during an airing of "The War of The Worlds". About 15 minutes into the show, the picture tube on the TV died. I had to listen to the rest of it without a picture. It was pretty eerie.

I know that everyone says it looks and feels nasty.

The key thing is whether it is functional for my limited live system requirements (single box, PVR-350, XCard, XML listings).

If it is then it has the mouthwatering feature of them giving out the details you need to be able to develop for it more freely than some PVR manufacturers and being able to write plugins in C# (weak at the knees just thinking about it).

I could have it looking and feeling like Sage in a week

Pipe dreams of course, it's going to be useless and i'm going to go to bed at 5am having re-ghosted back to Sage and wishing i'd listened to you

Nick.
