Sorry I can't be of much help just wanted to post that it has happened to me and report what I determined might be a possible cause (both tuners as COAX on same card) and what I may have done to fix the problem.

I am trying to use coax on both tuners on both cards. All I want to do is record extended basic cable. I really wish I could get this to work.

In the properties file, is the encoder_merit the same for both tuners? When one is higher than the other, it shows a conflict with the higher merit tuner & then tries the next tuner when you select "do nothing" for the first one.

If SageTV & the 500 drivers are the latest versions, and there are no problems in the device properties, then I suggest following up with SageTV tech support in case there is some issue having 2 timed recordings at the same time on a 500.
