Yeah, I believe it was, which basically means, it's not Sage's fault...

I am currently at work so when i get home i will check on the info section. im sure i'll have some tonight. i was under the impression that it used original air date info or a unique ID.

The "First Run" status is a marker that is part of the EPG info from Zap2It. Usually, all airings of a new show will be marked as First Run during its initial arinig period, which may cover a week or so. It will be a rerun when it is put out for airing again later in the season.

exactly, in tv terms first run is not the same as first airing.

With 'marked as first run' you mean the guide showed first run icons for those shows, right ? Did the icons also show up in the schedule recording list ?

Sorry to point out the obvious to those seeing strange 1st run issues, but make sure you are actually seeing the 1st run icon and not the 1st encoder icon. They are similar. The 1st run is a green circle and the 1st encoder is a blue circle, but both have a 1 in them.

it looks like everything is back to normal and the guide shows the correct first runs. i had some network issues over the weekend while playing on xbox live and had to reboot my modem and router. I checked the guide late saturday night and all was fixed. Strange.

I'm curious how do sagemc see the difference between what external player file to use - dvd_player.cmd and media_player.cmd is this hardcoded into some compiled file, or is this a txt file for me to change ;P

the reason i'm asking is that i would like sagemc to automount iso's into daemon tools, and then start ex. Powerdvd, and for that to work i need it to see .iso's (.img,.iso,.bin/cue blah blah) as dvd files and then run dvd_player.cmd.

TIA

might help

olauritz,

Check out this post. This should lead you in the right direction.

BTW, I've spent many hours trying to get this to work without any luck. I believe it to be a problem with the sage core and how it tries to read the "unsupported" (iso, img, etc...) files for a duration, only to cause the program to lock up.

But don't let me stop you from trying. Maybe I missed something.

1st of all brilliant STV.. love it

I am having slight issues whereas when viewing livetv and going back to the main menu my live tv preview window just shows a paused screen, This used to work and preview what was playing on live tv, i don't think i have made any changes to stop it working.

anyone else having the same problem ? is there a quick fix?

sorry if this is already mentioned in this thread its just at 96 pages its very hard to find !

many thanks

Strange, it has always been working for me, and I haven't seen anyone else reporting this. Which SageMC version are you using ?

Also, just a thought, not sure how you go back to the main menu, but is it possible you mapped something to that button inadvertantly (in the commands settings)? Just a wild thought (I can see me doing something like adding a pause key to my menu button )
Thanks jds23 for giving the heads-up

Tarrantino, I am using the PureVideo decoder too and it works fine for me, I don't believe this is the issue. jds23 is right, maybe it is a setup issue with the remote ? Try to switch to the main menu by using the keyboard (standard mapping is the 'Home' key) and see if this makes a difference ...

Thanks all for the replies,

I do definately have the remote setup for the home key and it happens whether i use the back button or the home button.

The icon it shows in the Preview window on the main menu is a customised icon for sagemc of a msn style chap with a pause symbol next to him. don't know if this helps.#

Yes I am aware that there is an updated version which I will have a go with tonight.

The only other thing I have done recently is activated the mame games menu on the main menu screen ( by editing the sage.properties file), can't see how this would have an effect though.

If you're using SageMC, I highly recommend ditching Sage's MAME and using the Other Programs menu to launch GameEX. GameEX is to Emulators what SageTV is to PVR's
