LOL, that's why I haven't got into using Studio yet either...maybe when I get an HDTV.

I'd also like to add, what happened to the DVD Profiler Offline DVD Import option? The option itself is still there, but once inside, the only thing you can do is highlight the movies you want to import as offline, and then "Cancel?" No "OK" option anymore?

Nevermind. I don't know what happened but I had to reboot my computer for an updated virus program. Sage restarted ugly as hell, all black and white and I couldn't do anything. So i shut it down, deleted my newly created and saved STVI file and restarted Sage. It started up and looked perfect with the RSS new feeder looking perfect. How that happened I don't know, don't care - it works and looks good!

Hi, I'm using the latest dev build on my MVP. I have turned off (what I think) is all the animations. I believe there were 3 settings... However, when playing music and if i bring up the options command--it seems like it is still using an animation of some sorts. I guess its supposed to zoom in from small to large finally bringing up the full options menu but it hangs until i press up/dn on the remote. Any way to turn this off. (BTW--this also happens when bringin up the options command while playing videos but for some reason it comes up much quicker and doesn't slow down). Hope you can understand.
Thanks,
JUC

I am having this exact problem on my machine although I am not using a MVP, I am using the latest DEV build on my main Sage system and I also thought I had all animations disabled. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Any chance you can post your updated STV. I have been trying to get the RSS new reader to work for sometime.

Thanks in advance....

any update on posts 1743 & 1744...looks like i'm not alone on this and when the wife selects options and doesn't see anything-or only part of the options the WAF goes way downhill...(it doesn't really bother me that much though)

thanks

One more thing...

A while back--talking months ago--an earlier version of this .stv had the ability in the music section to bring up the alphabet list so we don't have to scroll through tons of artists...is this still available just that it needs to be configured by a properties setting? Or was it removed? If so, please bring it back!
Thanks
JUC

Still works...

The letters of the alphabet are still there. Never went away to my knowledge.

When you are in the music listings keep pressing right. When the selection is to the far right and you press right again, the alphabet pops open.

I'm not sure if it works in the List view but I just did it in albam/folders and and artist/folders. Works like a charm.

your right--but it seems to only be there when you view by albums (didn't notice this though). If i sort by artists and scroll right it will just increase the volume (using old hauppauge remote). I would really like it to be in the artist section is possible.
thanks

Ah, I see. I was wrong in how I referenced the screens. Sorry.

It works for me in "View by Album" with "Sort by Artist" or "Sort by Title".

I'm trying to think back to the older versions, and can't remember if you were able to get the alphabet in any other view. If so, I guess I was just missing out.

I have noticed when I am watching live or recoreded shows, the OSD on the bottom of the TV runs off a little on both sides. The actual video fits to the TV perfectly, it is just the OSD. It is cutting a lot of the clock off on the right side of the bar. Any ideas on what could be causing that?

Thanks.

I am having the same issue. I am running the latest dev build of SageMC and the latest version of SageTV. I disabled the sage service and closed down the client. I then updated the sage.properties and sageclient.properties to the settings below:

mlbdude/enable_ui_animations=false
mlbdude/enable_osd_ui_animations=false
mlbdude/enable_mainmenu_ui_animations=false

When I first go into Sage, the animations are all dead. But once I navigate around, the fading feature returns (enable_ui_animations I believe) when I switch between screens (guide, recorded tv, my videos, etc). However, the property files still show "False". Any suggestions on how to correct this?

Yes...and I just checked it again and the arrows line up fine. The only time that it gets cut off it when I am watching a show and press the up arrow on my remote and it shows a blue bar with the show i am currently watching and I can keep pushing up to see what is on other channels. That is the bar that is getting cut off on both sides.

Thanks,

JUC

Has anyone had trouble with the IMDB lookup recently? I'm not sure when it started, but it doesn't seem to find the DVD cover pic anymore. I have looked on the IMDB site for the films that I am getting the info for and the cover art is there.

It saves the details for the DVD fine - just no cover-art.

Any ideas?

There was an update to some of the jar files in neilm's IMDB thread or over in the downloads forum that took care of that issue. It wasn't too long ago so maybe that's your issue. Or they changed again. I'm using DVD Profiler now so I wouldn't know..

Live TV Channel Change

I can't find a setting or a post about this, so please point me in the right direction if this has been answered before.

This only happens when I use the SageMC STV. When I select LiveTV, Sage changes the channel to channel 2 (my lowest channel). In the default STV, switching to LiveTV takes me to LiveTV. How do I make SageMC do the same thing?

Thanks
Keith

Hey, not much going on in here lately huh? Well, i'm sitll curious as to the animations showing up when bringing up the options command (i guess it might be fading and not animations but not sure). Also, any way to add the alphabet in the music section when sorting by artists--in addition to the already present album view?

Finally, i have found a 'bug' i think. When i'm in detailed setup-the left arrow back command does not work. Now, my dedicated 'back' button does work, but my left arrow does not. I do have my left arrow set to use back. Also, none of my shortcuts on my remote - my music, my videos, guide - work when in the detailed setup. I have to 'back' out of it first.
