I just submitted my config via the site.
FWIW, I took a risk, and ordered the PVR500. IT WORKS! HAHAHAHA. 3 channels now with my PVR350 (w/ working h/w out) and my shiny new PVR500. |

Hi Crashless,
thanks for your config, you are PVR NUM 24 at the list. PS: you can find the card driver versions by windows hardware manager. Regards, Holger

I didn't read through the whole list but I used to have a combo that I don't think anyone else has used:
Prolink playtv@7000 Happauge PVR-USB2 Happauge PVR-250 I say "used to" because that Sage box died but the combo worked fine for a long time. Reason I didn't read through the list is beacuse it wouldn't show up right with Firefox but that could be because I'm not running the newest version. Oh, and maybe you should add OS to your list (if its not there) because I was running those three on Server 2003. Last edited by silkshadow; 04-09-2005 at 04:33 AM. |

I'm another one trying to get the PVR350 with PVR500MCE going. I can disable either one, and each works fine. Put both on, whatever is in the lead slot (#2 - #1 assigned to the video card) is the one that works. Tried every version of drivers out there to make it go. The crazy part is there are no errors on the card, simply no recording, no crashing, nothing. It's running on a compaq evo w6000 dual proc machine with a gig of ram.
As for the IR trouble, I've found a potential solution that others may be interested in though since that's an annoyance too. M$ has a utility to enable/disable a device via command line or batch script, called devcon.exe. Using it, you can disable the non-350 card, enable IR, reenable the non-350 card, and everything works. I've do this manually right now at each boot when I want to test IR. I'll script it later tomorrow if I get a chance or drop an email if you would like me to send the "script" |
