I've uploaded a new round of Transparent Channel Logos to the download section. I see now that the old sets are no longer accessible, so I'll post those there also.

Over the next few days (weeks) I'll be going thru my lineup to add fillers and make updates. So, expect 2 more rounds of additions in the near future.

Enjoy!

Planet Green
MTVU (MTV University)
Hallmark Movie Channel (different from the other Hallmark Channel)
AmericanLife TV Network

Do these logos work in the HD Extenders?

I replaced one of them as a test and nothing shows up, but if I do it on a Sage Client on a PC, it works

Any tricks?

They all work on my extenders, both hd and sd (mediamvp). Make sure you are restarting the service. For some reason, some of them seemed to take a few restarts. Don't know why, maybe they get cached somewhere. I have made a few more of these to round out my collection using photoshop instructions I found here:

http://http://www.uwec.edu/HELP/Phot...transpimgs.htm

These instrux are for the latest version of PS, but I was able to figure it out for my old version of PS Elements, circa 2000, and I know nothing about it.

I suppose I could learn howto upload them here to the forum if anyone would find them useful. I would refer to them as "round 9", as they are pretty much the ones I didn't see in the first 8 files from Karl (nice work by the way!)

Transparent Channel Logos Round 8 and 9

Hi Karl, I just noticed that in the download section Transparent Channel Logos Round 9 is the same as Transparent Channel Logos Round 8

Did you mean to upload the same file twice?

I see what you are saying, it looks like round 8 is missing. I'll dig around my archives and see what I come up with.

Update: I've re-uploaded the round 8 zip.

Guess it's time you download Paint.NET and start editing.. :-)

Also, have you checked Lyngsat logo for your missing logos? they are usually the best quality you will find.

I find that wikipedia has excellent logos that are generally transparent and in PNG format. I don't think the ones on the Lyngsat site are transparent since they are in JPEG format and I don't think you can do transparent JPEGs.

Actually, the high-res logos on lyngsat (with H icon) are transparent PNG's in something like 840x300 resolution. VERY high quality. (I swear they must be sourced from the art guys at the networks themselves).

example of some that I think mkanet was asking for:
Attached Images
File Type: png disney_xd_hd.png (64.4 KB, 338 views)
File Type: png syfy_hd.png (123.6 KB, 342 views)
File Type: png wgn_america.png (104.8 KB, 324 views)

That's awesome - I had always just clicked on the A and it was non-transparent JPEGs. Now to update all of my logos! The only problem with some of these logos is that the ones that have dark colors, like black or blue, don't show up as well in SageMC.

Thanks for the tip for lyngsat. I'll also look wikipedia... If anyone here has Comcast and already received the 40 channel mega HD update and has the logos by now, please post! I will do the same if I end up doing sooner.
